17 April 2021, Agana, Guam – Agana PCG’s 5-person Consular Mission that arrived in Saipan, CNMI on 12 March 2021, has as of 12 noon of 16 April rendered consular services to 2,908 overseas Filipinos (OFs) -- 2,856 passport services and 52 dual citizenship. Sixty-six percent or 1,882 passport applicants served presented passports with expired validity.
Saipan PC has already received around 1,488 passport applications for the next consular outreach. Of that number, approximately 90% have passports that will expire between June to December 2021 and the rest in 2022. Another 160 passport applications have been submitted to Post’s Filcom contact in Rota, CNMI.
The team led by Consul Alex O. Vallespin proceeded to Tinian, CNMI in the afternoon of 16 April and will provide consular services to at least 200 OFs on the island from 16 to 18 April, before returning to Guam on 19 April. A separate report on the Tinian trip will be released soonest.
